The Big Bang

Debates abound concerning the creation of the universe. Some think it was formed by an event called the “Big Bang”. Heat and density within a black hole was so intense from gravitational pressure that the finite matter was squished into infinite density called “singularities”. After this initial appearance, it inflated (the Big Bang), and expanded and cooled, going from very small to very hot until we now have our current universe, which is continuing to heat and expand.

Others think that the universe and all there-in was created by a supreme being (God), who had a plan in mind. The Bible (Genesis 1&2) tells the believers, “In the beginning when God created the heavens and the earth, the earth was a formless void and darkness covered the face of the deep, while a wind from God swept over the face of the water”.

I happen to believe both theories. I believe the Bible and I also believe that there was a Big Bang. Imagine all the energy that he used during the creation. Our minds can not comprehend the event and as scientist try to explain creation, they themselves are baffled because they can not explain the black hole and the gravitational pressure that created the singularities.

But we Bible believers can explain the black hole and the gravitational pressure, it is and was the power of God. May we always give him the glory and honor that is due him.
